The Chamber is raising funds to “Light the Spark That Re-Ignites a Passion for Learning” an Attendance Incentive Initiative program of the Alachua County Public Schools during the Amazing Give on April 22 from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. Our page is currently live.
Campus USA Credit Union is our corporate matching sponsor at $2,500. You can support re-igniting a passion for learning at: http://bit.ly/2P5E6z6reignite
Funds raised during the Amazing Give will be used to purchase gift cards, themed baskets, and even bicycles to excite students and help bring the focus back to learning. The Alachua County Public Schools (ACPS) and the Greater Gainesville Chamber Foundation have partnered to create the Attendance Incentives Initiative. This fun initiative will offer our students incentives to support and encourage them to re-engage in learning since we know that even minutes away from the classroom disrupts academic success. Our goal is to raise $10,000 for these high-needs schools:
1. Lake Forest Elementary School
2. W. A. Metcalfe Elementary School
3. Myra Terwilliger Elementary School
4. Idylwild Elementary School
5. Shell Elementary
